From 28–30 April 2025, experts gathered at FAO headquarters in Rome for a high-level scientific meeting on ASF

On 12 and 13 June, more than 40 public and private stakeholders from across Southeast Asia gathered in Bangkok for the launch of the ASF Partnership Platform which provided a really open and stimulating environment for exchange of ideas and experiences about ASF!

A report recommended by the Standing Group of Experts on African Swine Fever in Asia and the Pacific reviews the current knowledge of the ecology, distribution, and role in swine disease epidemiology of wild pigs in the region. The report also makes recommendations on ways to manage populations of wild pigs, their interface with domestic pigs and other actions that will contribute to the prevention and control of ASF in Asia and the Pacific.

A workshop with the participation of the ASEAN Member States partners and experts contributed to the development of the ASEAN ASF Prevention and Control Strategy.
